Napstjert, Denmark in April 2019 ‘Dear Hans at Waterman Travel & more’ It is a privilege and great joy to be the first partner and collaborator to the Watermann Office Travel and much more. For about 15 years ago I was introduced to Mr. Hans Vermunt as I wished to extend my possibility to operate in Northern Greece creating Study Tours for mostly people from Denmark. Through more than thirty yearsthis have been one of my favoritedoings showing to people how stunning and diverse the biodiversityis all around the world. I am Flemming Thorning-Lund, biologist and Nature interpreter. What began little by little many years ago has now been a very important passion to me – travelling with people who share their interest for the nature and the environment with me. My guests have many different interest themes such as shorter walks in nature, watching and enjoying the flora and their different habitats from alpine meadows to the coastal environment, studying the wild life, the history and tradition and of course visiting cultural sites. Furthermore, all this include for me to gain knowledge about matters as geology and topography and to how people have used the environment, the soil through thousands of years creating stunning cultures. In Denmark I have cooperated with the University extension services in Aalborg through all the years. When operating in Greece ‘Watermann Travel and More’ has been a most valuable partner always giving me well organized service such as: choice of local hotels, compositions of original itineraries, coach and guide services. Through this more than a decade of partnership We, Mr. Hans Vermunt and I have created many Study Tour to places in Greece from the great Lakes of Northern Greece, The Prespes to the very tip of the mainland to the south, the prefecture of Lakonia on The Peloponnissos. Let me try to give a summery of all those ‘off-the -beaten-track-Tours’ which have been made from Corfu combined with the Zagoria villages, undiscovered Albania and Macedonia, the Prespa Lakes and Metsovo and of course the Peloponnese Tour with Nafplion , Pylos, Bay of Navarino, Messina, Mystras, The Mani and the petrified forest to the south of Neapoli on the very tip of the peninsula. Kind regards and thank you very much Dr Flemming Thorning-Lund
